Vigilohm IM400 is an insulation monitoring device (IMD) permanently monitoring ungrounded/IT earthing systems as per IEC 60364 requirements. According to standards, it is recommanded to equip your systems with Insulation Monitoring Devices (IMD). It monitors LV networks up to 830VAC or 480VAC when connected to neutral or to line respectively, and 480VDC. Various voltage adapters enable IM400 to be installed on networks up to 1700 VAC or 1200 VDC IM400 is very versatile, adapting to networks resistance betwen 10 and 10 MOhm with a 1% accuracy at 10 kOhm and 1 µF. To meet your applications, the device insulation alarm thresholds can be set between 40 and 500 kOhm with an optional delay up to 7200s. Once the alarm threshold is breached, it triggers an alarm relayed by 1 standard or fail-safe dry contact, the HMI display or Modbus RS485. Combine with IFL12 Insulation Fault Locators to precisely and quickly locate the insulation fault in the installation. It contributes to minimizing operational losses, downtimes, people safety risks and installations damages. This IMD benefits installations where continuity of power supply is critical and where unexpected interruptions must be kept to a minimum. The device can be supplied by a 110VAC to 415VAC or a 125VDC to 250VDC source, with 15% tolerance, plus or minus. It monitors AC, DC and ACDC systems of medium to long length with some disturbance. The relay self-tests automatically to ensure that the monitoring of the ungrounded system remains permanent. This model can distinguish resistance issues from leakage capacitance and displays capacitance values (between 40 and 500 µF) with associated impendance. It has been designed according to EN/IEC 61557-8 product standard and has Marine certification. The installation of IM400 is flush-mounted and the wiring is facilitated by removable terminals. The HMI design makes it easy for the user to do device configurations, manual test, or to get informed about the device and network status. Preventive maintenance can be planned to avoid interruptions thanks to preventive alarm and historical event logs of insulation resistance evolutions. IFL12 insulation fault locators are recommended for long and/or disturbed networks to enhance continuity of power supply and minimize OPEX. No cable or digital pairing is needed between IM400 and IFL12 which grants flexibility to the installation, and makes it easy and scalable. Modbus RS485 communication facilitate the data transfer to supervision systems such as EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert. Relay status, installation status or historical logs can all be reported to a supervision system such as PME for a centralized management.
